Mia-Franziska Böhm (b. 2002) is an artist based in Dresden. She studies Fine Arts at the Dresden University of Fine Arts (HfBK Dresden), since 2022 in Class Waechtler and Class Westphalen, class for Image and Space: Drawing, Graphics, Painting.
Recent exhibitions include Forever Lucky (Duo exhibition, Tabs Raum Dresden, 2026), Überrollt & Ungescannt (HfBK Rundgang 2025), Under it (Group exhibition, 2025) and Kunst Hoch 34 (Cusanuswerk selection, Saarbrücken, 2025).
Her practice revolves around a carefully composed yet intimately familiar vision of reality. Her works respond with a visual language of almost supernatural softness, shaped by femininely coded imagery, vulnerability, and the instability of memory. Everyday objects do not appear as mere things, but as emotional carriers, becoming relics of a private mythology.
Through airbrushing, contours dissolve and details shift. Surfaces appear smooth, cool, nearly dematerialized, and at the same time exaggeratedly physical. The motifs are familiar and yet distant. The works feel like moments from a dream in which promises, desire, and memory flow into one another.
Open for commissions and collaborations.
